A yearly masturbatory exercise where all participating, in mutual admiration for each other, 'toss themselves off''.
Great and superb television productions like NETFLIX “The Crown”; and, ALL4, wonderful Scandinavian productions; don’t even get any attention at all. Yet, they produce just as many hours of tv viewing pleasure; as those being awarded the 'gongs' here..
All these independent and foreign productions are far superior, in entertainment value, to those being honoured in the National Television Awards. This televised ceremony; awards the same faces and the same TV Productions year after year.
